Patna University Distance Education MBA Admission Course

Established in 1917 under the rule of the British, Patna University is of top ten of the oldest universities in India. Started as a blanket body for four states, the university handled examinations for all levels of schooling and college, till post graduate levels. A host of colleges are affiliated with the university, and the fields covered are Medicine, Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, and law. Various women’s colleges are also affiliated to this university. The university also offers a host of programs under distance education through its Directorate of Distance Education. There are nine faculties with 32 different post graduate departments. The Directorate of Distance Education was started in 1974 for the spread of knowledge to places without access to college facilities.

Eligibility:

The DDE provides an MBA course in distance learning format. Candidates applying must be graduates in any discipline with a qualifying percentage of 50%. There is a general quota held under reservation of SC/ST/OBC students.  A Common Entrance Test is held by the university and candidates are selected based on the merit list derived from the results of this test.

Admission Procedure:

Candidates are to login into the university website www.ddepu.org for notifications of opening of admissions and last date for submission of forms. The admitted list of candidates for the common entrance test will be released and after results have been evaluated, admitted candidate’s list will also be displayed on the website. Details of contact classes, and examinations are also published on the website 

Due attention is to be paid to the details of application to the course. These may include changes in the last dates of receipt of applications and changes in the DD that is to accompany the application form. Incorrect filling may lead to disqualification of the candidate.
