Kurukshetra University is established in the year 1956. Late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who was the first president of India, he played an important role in foundation of Kurukshetra University. It is located in kurukshetra well known as land for Baghwadgita.  It is in Rajasthan and it is situated nearer to western bank of Brahma sarovar. It is built in 400 acres of land. At the starting stage there was only one department which regards to Sanskrit. At present this university is offering a wide variety of programs and courses which are very useful for the students to build up their carriers. In the year 1976 they started directorate of distance education programs which are needed for the development and growth in various sectors. During the year 1976 the strength of this university is around 37000. At present this university is offering a world class education for the students who are residents of India and for foreigners special accommodation is provided. Almost 457 colleges are affiliated to this university. The infrastructure of this college is awesome and it is consists some additional features.
